JetWave 2420 / 2420S Overview

The JetWave 2420 is a 2.4GHz IEEE 802.11b/g Wireless Outdoor Access Point that complies with 802.11b/g standards. The JetWave 2420 covers a large operating distance, from 5 up to 10KM for Wireless LANs and broadband Internet Access with transfer data rate up to 54Mbps.

The JetWave 2420 series includes JetWave 2420 and JetWave 2420S. The JetWave 2420 integrates one 15dBi flat panel antenna and is a perfect solution for outdoor point to point transmission application. The JetWave 2420S is designed with one N-Type socket and can freely attach directional or omnidirectional antennas depending on environmental needs. The JetWave 2420 series delivers high output power and high sensitivity and, therefore can extend range and coverage and deliver stable wireless connection while reducing the roaming between APs. The JetWave 2420 series supports AP, client, repeater, WDS point to point (PTP) and point to multiple point (PTMP) modes. The PTMP mode supports up to 16 destination links. The advanced features include multiple SSID with VLAN tagging, QoS (WMM) for prioritizing classes for different applications, advanced secure system by WEP, WPA, WPA2 and MAC address filtering.

The JetWave 2420 series robust design meets the IP67 weatherproof standard, which allows users to install the devices outdoor, under harsh environmental conditions. Supporting 48VDC power input, it can be powered through the force mode of JetNet 4706/5710G/6710G/5728G series high power PoE source switches or by the attached injector. Combining superior wireless technology and advanced features, the JetWave 2420 Wireless Outdoor Access Point is a reliable, high-performance solution for the most demanding wireless networking environments.
