    Korenix JetNet 4510 Industrial Ethernet Managed switch is designed to function in the toughest industrial applications as providing the real-time performance, the fast network redundancy and the advanced security.

    JetNet 4510 is not only equipped with 7 ports 10/100TX but also with 3 ports 10/100 RJ-45 / 100FX SFP ports. The 3 combo ports lead to the flexibilities and the conveniences for additional fiber connections with just plug-in different types of 100MM SFP modules, from 2KM multimode to 120KM single mode. The combo ports also make the port-combination easier, such as 8 RJ ports and 2 fiber ports, or 9 RJ ports and 1 fiber port. The standard 10 port Fast Ethernet Switch greatly shortens normal long lead time by the special fiber switch model and reduces the total cost for fiber uplink network.

    In addition to the flexible design, JetNet 4510 adapts the world fastest Ring technology by Korenix - Multiple Super Ring (MSRTM) for comprehensive redundant solutions. It only takes 5ms to recover link failure no matter how many nodes within a ring, and the restore time is zero when the failed link is recovered. The Multiple Super Ring patent realizes more flexible ring topologies, such as shared link of multiple rings or shared unit of multiple rings. The Multiple Super Ring gives more compatibility to Rapid Spanning Tree with the new Dual Homing plus design.     Korenix releases JetNet V2.0 firmware for new Multiple Super Ring (MSR) design with failover cable-out time 5ms, restore cable-in time 0ms. JetNet v2.0 is a major breakthrough for current proprietary ring technologies of different vendors to offer users true flexible multi-form super ring operation. Moreover, various security and enhanced management features are supported in JetNet V2.0, such as SNMP v3, IGMP V3, IEEE 802.1X, and port segment.

  • Enhancements to Rapid Super Ring (RSR)
      Failure Positioning
      Any unwanted failure in a ring should be recovered as soon as possible. A new technology,  Failure Positioning, helps the staff to locate where the ring is broken and fix it as soon as possible. Failure Positioning is an improvement to Ring Manager (RM) auto election. Once upon a link or a node fails, the RM of the ring will be changed to the broken edge. By looking for the RM LED indication, the staffs can then identify the failure position easily and recover the problem at once.
      Seamless Restoration
      Seamless Restoration is Korenix’s new patented technology which reduces the restoration time to ZERO without causing any looping problem, topology change, and packet losses when recovering a failed ring to its original redundancy-proved state. This new technology restores the redundant ability of a ring without making any disturbances to the network.

    TrunkRing is a new feature in MSR which merges the two technologies of RSR and link aggregation together. It takes the advantage of aggregation to enhance the link redundancy while increasing the link speed. The ring will be opened only if all the aggregated links are broken. Link aggregation can be achieved by either static trunk or LACP protocol.
    Not all the link sections in a TrunkRing should be the same. This means that ring links can be either symmetric or asymmetric: some are simply a single link, and the others are aggregated by links where the number of links in a trunk group can be different. Users can enhance the link redundancy at different locations on their own demand. And the link with least link speed is more likely to be chosen as the backup path to bring the network capacity into full play.


  • AnyRing

    AnyRing -It detects which kind of third-party ring technologies is running on the specified ring ports. Once a recognized technology is detected, AnyRing transforms itself to be a member of the third-party ring. The failover time and the restoration time depend on the three third-party ring technology.

  • MultiRing

    MultiRing provides easier connectivity between two ring networks. The simplest example is to connect two rings by a single device. Depending on the number of ports, a device can even gather multiple rings together. As shown in the figure, MultiRing technology simply extends the network topology by linking multiple rings into a line or into multiple directions. In addition to extensibility, MultiRing has great diversity of various ring technologies. With MultiRing enabled, a device can connect RSR rings, TrunkRing, an AnyRing, and a ring of Super Ring together. Which provides extensibility to new technologies while keeps the great backward compatibility.


  • Rapid Dual Homing (RDH)

    RDH is designed to replace DualHoming II and can be also used as ring coupling. While keeping easy-configuration and multiple redundancies, the failover time is much faster (less than 50 ms) and the restore time is ZERO (seamless restoration). Uplinks can be auto detected and gathered into groups. In each group, uplinks are sorted into Primary, Secondary, and Standbys by their link speed. The uplink with highest speed is more likely to be the active path for data transmission.

    Link aggregation is also integrated into RDH. An uplink can be a link or several links aggregated as a trunk, which provides better redundancy and link capacity.
