The DeviceMaster UP Industrial Ethernet provides advanced
Modbus TCP connectivity to serial Modbus/RTU and both
serial and Ethernet TCP/IP raw/ASCII devices. Whether your
installation requires connecting barcode or RFID readers,
vision systems, variable frequency drives, or air handler units
to a PLC, Scada, or HMI, the DeviceMaster UP provides the
solution. Configurations are performed in minutes via the web
and each serial and Ethernet TCP/IP connection operates independently. And that allows up to 64 different PLCs, OPC
servers, or Scada systems to connect to the DeviceMaster UP
simultaneously.
The DeviceMaster UP provides the following communication modes:
• Modbus/TCP Master to Modbus/RTU slave
(247 devices per gateway)
• Modbus/TCP Master to serial and Ethernet TCP/IP
raw/ASCII
• Modbus/TCP Slave to serial and Ethernet TCP/IP raw/ASCII
• Modbus/TCP Dual-Master (Peer-to-Peer) to serial and

Informational web pages provide extensive diagnostic
capabilities. The Modbus/RTU Device List page provides
device active/inactive status, response timing information,
and communication statistics to enable diagnosis of individual
devices. The communication interface pages provide detailed
statistics and error information to monitor and diagnose
your Modbus/TCP, serial port, and Ethernet TCP/IP device
interfaces.
Simultaneously connect both serial and Ethernet devices to
PLCs and/or applications with DualConnectPlus™ technology.
String, RFID, and barcode data filtering eliminates redundant data while extracting the RFID and barcode parameters.
